Fattoria la Torre is located on one of the hills surrounding San Gimignano and is immersed in one of the most evocative and fascinating landscapes in Tuscany dominated by a succession of woods, vineyards and olive groves.
The choice of labels from the DOCG line is not random but derives from the fact that the owner Enrico Angiolini, in addition to being a passionate landscape painter, is one of the most important collectors in Italy of the “MACCHIAIOLI TOSCANI”; fundamental pictorial current, after that of impressionism.
Furthermore, the Macchiaioli painted the rural world of the time and the activities connected to it.
Hence the choice for the Chianti Colli Senesi of the work “Stradina a Settignano” by Telemaco Signorini which best depicts what the typical Tuscan village is and represents what the Tuscan wine par excellence is: Chianti.
From here the union between art and good wine is evident. For the two Vernaccia di San Gimignano we chose the details of two important paintings that depict female figures marrying convivial with the elegance of the “White Queen”.
For the IGT TOSCANA line we have not abandoned the “painting” which is evident in the upper part of the labels, in which we decided to use real brushstrokes of color albeit much more playful. Even the names help to understand the idea of conviviality behind these wines: typical expressions of the Tuscan dialect “BADALUI” and “BIRBONE”, and of the Livorno dialect “BAGIOGIE” (cheeks), to somehow recall the Labronian origins of the family.
